Honey Locust Cookie Side Table
Honey Locust live edge cookie slice side table.
This side table was made from a storm downed Honey Locust tree salvaged several years back. The bow ties are Black Walnut and were hand cut to add stability and character as well as black epoxy. Commercial grade (Natural Look Flat Finish) was applied to give the closest impression to the wood without the added yellowing that you would normally get with traditional finishes. Each leg has adjustable felt tipped feet with steel threaded inserts for top of the line durability. The top is 2 1/4”thick. The table top width is 20” inches at it’s widest and 11.5” at its thinnest. The height is 23 1/8”
I personally cut, air dried, kiln dried, sterilized, and finished each piece of wood in this piece.
